Two Chairs No Waiting

Two Chairs No Waiting made it through the first year of podcast episodes.  What started as a way to publish interviews with cast members that were on Mayberry.com as “Real Audio” files and my desire to turn them into MP3 files so folks could listen has turned in to a weekly Internet radio show about Mayberry.  Two Chairs first year was 52 episodes with just over 11 and a half hours of Mayberry content.

I never dreamed that more would be left to say after the first few episodes.

Thank you to everyone that listens and to all those that have already been a part of the show. I also want to thank my wonderful wife for allowing me to produce a show a week and for hosting the first episode of our second season.

Remember to tell folks about our show and don’t please don’t forget to leave comments or ask questions on the Mayberry.com/podcasts website or by using the contact information given in the podcast. We’d love to have you be a part of our next feedback episode.

Two Chairs No Waiting

This episode marks the end of the first year of Two Chairs No Waiting and what better way to finish my first year than to complete our interview with Neal Brower.

In part three of the interview with Neal Brower as our guest, we move the discussion toward his book “Mayberry 101: Behind the Scenes of a TV Classic.”  That book is labled Volume 1 so Neal answers the question about, where’s volume two?  He also tells us how he came to pen Mayberry 101 in the first place.

We also hear about his Professor Bower’s Lecture series he does each year at Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy, NC.  Neal shares some special memories and many things you may never have heard.

Thank you again to Neal Brower for taking the time to visit with us all here at Two Chairs No Waiting.

We continue our interview with special guest Neal Brower as our guest.  Neal is a United Methodist minister, taught a course about The Andy Griffith Show at several colleges in North Carolina, and is the author of “Mayberry 101: Behind the Scenes of a TV Classic.”

In this episode we discuss the event held on September 30 and October 1, 1995 at the Stevens Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Twenty cast members from “our hometown” gathered together to pay tribute to “The Andy Griffith Show” and share their experiences in Mayberry.

We have a treat for the next few episodes to have Neal Brower as our guest.  Neal is a United Methodist minister and has taught a ten-week course about The Andy Griffith Show at several colleges in North Carolina.

Neal also is the author of “Mayberry 101: Behind the Scenes of a TV Classic” and an all-around Mayberry fan.  He’s a member of the “Barney Chapter” of The Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club (TAGSRWC) which is one of if not *the* most active chapters of TAGSRWC.

In this episode we’ll hear some about how Neal came to teach the classes as well as about how Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy, NC got its kickstart.
